I was sitting in my squad car eating my Subway sandwich as fast as possible before I got another call, when I heard that unmistakable BUZZZZZZZZ...
I didn't even need to see it. I FLEW out of my squad, swung my arms in the air, and flung open both front doors, all while still holding my 6 inch sub. Once the little bugger flew out and my blood pressure calmed down, I looked around and noticed the friendly bystanders walking in the park had stopped and were staring at me. Nothing to see here folks, keep moving along! Just a crazy female cop freaking out about a BEE!

So why do I tell you this, other than to embarrass myself? Because, it's time for....
Mama M's Five Question Friday!
1. What are you most afraid of? I think you already know the answer to this one! BEES!
2. Do you use a flat iron or curling iron? Flat iron EVERY single morning! Kinky, wavy hair otherwise.
3. Hands-free or phone to the ear? Who talks on the phone anymore? Aren't we all tweeting and texting ;-)
4. Do you have a matching bedroom set? Yes, it was one of our first BIG purchases after getting married. My DH totally freaked about that bill!
5. Do you believe in the paranormal? As a Christian, I believe in angels, good and bad. I also believe Jesus is omnipresent. I also believe Satan is at work in this fallen world and that is why prayer is so important.

T.G.I.F. my friends! What are YOU doing this weekend??? Super Bowl plans?
(Don't forget, "Mama Guilt Mondays" meme every Monday. Stop back here and link up!)

LOVE your answers... especially the last one. You are such a light!

Nice blog.
I can relate to the bee encounter. I remember a stinging encounter with a wasp. Driving to work early in the morning, I heard a thud but did not see anything near my partially opened window.
About 5 minutes later while still driving I feel the sting in the lower part of my back--the stinker had flown in and evidently landed behind me. My moving around while driving resulted in him finally stinging me. Yuck...
I am totally afraid of bees, too! I would have done the exact same thing you did! (Good thing you weren't driving!) Glad you didn't get stung!
I had almost the same exact answers as you for the first and last - ha!
I am so stealing your answer to number 5! Hope you don't mind! I just couldn't have said it better myself!
My husband hates bees too, with a passion. And I would freak out if a bee was in my car.
Totally agree with you on number 5
Following from Friday Follow! You have a fun site:)
So did your dash cam catch this bee incident? Hello...America's Funniest Home Videos!!
Um...I *WANT* to talk to you on the phone....just sayin'
Spit out your bubble gum, Barbie. You need some REAL music.
I love Crayon Wrangler's comment! So, when's the bee incident gonna show up on Cops?
;)
Your answers rocked!! Loved 'em!
Found you on FF...nice blog!
I love it when people make me laugh!! I -um- freak out in the car with a bee too! This summer I met a very stealthy bee! My window was down, on my way to puppy training 'test' with the puppy, and this evil bee drops in my lap, I was driving near a tree that was loosing needles in the warm wind... I reached down to pick up the 'needles' off my lap and OUCH!! Lets just say... it wasn't pretty... I was driving for pitty sakes! After gaining control of my wheel again (yikes) I made it to puppy class and puppy passed his 'test' ... and my finger was double the size it should have been! Nasty bees! Happy Friday!
Just Jenn - hopping over from 5QF
This is a fun Friday read. I just might have to look into it. When do you get the questions? It is always funny watching people when a bee is by them! I'm afraid of snakes.
You must live somewhere warmer...sigh.
All the bees here are gone for the winter.
There is a freenzy period right before the cold hits where the bees are IMPOSSIBLE here and they are everywhere! I can not stand them then. I think you would have a heart attack, lol!
well yea I believe in those kind of angels and demons.. DUH! I soo should have thought of that answer myself! I may should go change my answer so I dont look like such a goober ;) I took it to mean like spooky haunting type ghost.. dont really believe in that type thing.
Loved your bee story. I must say I prob would have taken a double take as well if I saw you dancing around your squad car with a sub in your hand. LMBO
Have a good weekend girlie
the mental picture of you flying out of the car because of a bee just made me laugh!! We kind of expect our police folks to be fearless, you know?!
Ahhhh I hate bees! Your picture gave me the chills! Glad no one was injured!

Oh my gosh, I can totally relate to the bee thing... or any winged bug-like creature really. They all freak me out. My hubby gets a kick out of it when I'm swinging my arms and batting them around at "nothing". He thinks it's hilarious.
Too funny about the bees...I hate them too! Have a great weekend!
Oh my, that is too funny! I've totally been that crazed person swinging my arms around because of a bee!
PS I could not have answered #5 so beautifully as you! I agree!!! ;) so I chickened out and took the 5th! Thank you for coming to my blog and following ! You made my day! I am excited to blog with you!! going to go look for your 'button' now! ;)
Just Jenn!
I can so relate to your bee incident. Not only have I had a bee or two in my "office", but I've also had a bird. Yes, a real live actual flying around trying to get back out bird. Talk about ducking for cover! You never saw someone exit their "office" so fast in all your life.
I am also afraid of bees!
Stopping by from Friday Follow to say Hi! I already follow and hope you have great week!
Please follow me !
I had bees in my laundry room this summer! It was not fun trying to do the wash. We finally got the exterminator to take care of them.
Have a fantastic weekend!
What are MY plans for the weekend? Snowed in at my parents' house--on purpose! Cop husband is working all weekend in this nasty weather. So, instead of staying home, tasked with entertaining two short ones by my lonesome and grumbling about it, I loaded everyone up and drove out into even worse weather!
Oh, I LOVE your answer to number 5 SO much!!! If I'd read yours first, I would surely have stolen it!
Have a blessed Friday!
That would be me, freaking out AND hanging on to my sandwich!
Love your last answer!
Oh your poor thing! Cheeky bee.
Hi Sweetie...
I so love coming over to visit you. You are just the cutest darn thing ever. I can just see you hopping around and waving your hands. Move along folks there is nothing more to see here. Just move on along. Ha! Ha! Ha!
I was laughing and laughing because I remember a day when I went to get my husband at the bus stop. When I started around the corner, I heard a very loud buzzz, another big buzz. Two of those darn carpenter bees were in my truck. I almost pulled up over the curb getting that dang truck stopped, and I will tell you I was not getting back in, until those damn bees got out. Well, I couldn't even get to my phone. I hopped out and left it all. I could hear it ringing, but I was not getting back in there to get it. I was just standing back in the park. Well needless to say, my husband started walking home, he got tired of waiting on me. Pretty soon he saw me standing in the park from a distance. He kept calling, my phone kept ringing, and when he got up to where I was within hearing distance he said, "Hey what's going on, I've been calling you?" When he got closer he saw them. He took his jacket off, and whipped them out of the truck. We laughed all the way home.
Have a beautiful weekend sweetie. I so love to come and visit, and I love for you to visit.
Country hugs sweetie...Sherry
Love the last answer! I hate bees too, I freak when they are flying around...I try not to pass on my crazyness to my kids (too much) but that's one thing I can't hide! :)
Loved your story about the bee! Nice to hear someone else is as terrified of bees!
BEES...YIKES!!! I also hate, HATE spiders!!
~WM
hilarious!!
i like your last answer as well. it's hard to put into words what i believe as a christian concerning that and you did a great job.
my mom loves to tell this story of when i was about 6 we were walking and she put her arm around my shoulders and i started screaming and running crazy right in front of a store with a big window. people came running out of the store thinking she had done something to me. there was a bee on her arm and it stung the back of my neck. i have to admitt if i saw a cop waving her arms i would be a little nervous
I thought the temperature was too cold for bees where you lived, where did that one come from?
If you hate bees that much you would not have wanted to be at our house last summer when a hive apparently was re-locating and decided to take residence on the side of our house. If you wanna see it I blogged about it

I'm scared of bees too! I was stung by a wasp at about 5 and wasn't doing anything but playing. My husband just doesn't understand my irrational fear! I even had one fly in while I was driving down the road!! Talk about freaky. I nearly jumped into the passenger seat!
I am right there with you on this one! I hate bees! But, then again, I am allergic to those little bastards.
Nothing too exciting planned for the weekend... just a playdate and family over for the Superbowl!
I love your bee story. I think at one time or another we have all done the same thing.
This cracks me up because my husband turns into a flailing freak whenever there is a bee around him.
I'm afraid of bees,too!
I loved your answer to #5! :-) I agree!
