I have found a wonderful blog called, "Soul Aperture." The author, Christina, is making a $1 donation to Doctors Without Borders' mission in Haiti for every blogger who does a "Simple Things" list and links back in her comments.
My Simple Things
small fingers holding tightly
soft skin of a baby cheek
peace and quiet
the scruff on my DH's face
a winter sunset
comfort food
warm, sunny days
the cabin
making french press while camping
going for a nice, long run
holding my boys tightly in my arms
a kind word spoken unexpectedly
knowing all is well
And knowing God is in control
What are YOUR simple things?
(Don't forget, "Mama Guilt Mondays" meme every Monday. Stop back here and link up!)

I love your list. I love many of those as well.
((You))
Great idea! I made my list and am linking up right now.
Hello, I am visiting you today in the wake of Christina's love. Thank you for your list. I especially liked the line of an unexpected kind word. It reminded me of what my mom used to say: a smile can make a stranger's day, a kind word their week, a hug that lingers a lifetime. So true!
hi there, Thanks to Christina , she has collected the pearls out of us and made a gorgeous necklace as a gift to those for those who have forgotten to smile..
I loved your simple things esp. soft cheeks...

What a wonderful list! One of my favorite songs is a Shaker tune...'Tis a gift to be simple...you capture simplicity so well.
The top one on my list is seeing the babe right after she wakes up...that smile gets me every time - I just melt!!

What a beautiful list. So many wonderful simple pleasures we often overlook! I love the feelings this list provoked.
That is a great list! I love little fingers too. My favorite are little feet, though. Running and then relaxed sleeping little kid feet. So cute!
oh yes, He is in control. ; )
your list made me beam! beam with happiness and love.
xoxo
ps: thank you forgetting the word out there!
your an angel~
I love feeling my daughter's 8 year old hand still slip into mine as we are walking. I love my autistic son still lets me know he loves my by pressing up against me for a moment. I love that my 17 year old still insists on getting kissed on the cheek. I love the way my husband's eyes say that he adores me.
Very nice. Love your simple things.
I am going to head on over.
