Really? For Me?

Thanks to Becky over at "In the Trenches" for this wonderful award! Please go visit her blog as she writes about her beautiful family and has a good sense of humor.

What a nice compliment. This award really does mean a lot to me. I may not always be "beautiful", but I truly do blog from my heart. I love reading everyone's comments and it still amazes me that anyone even reads my little blog. I've enjoyed meeting so many wonderful women and a few men. I love reading other people's blogs too.

Ok, enough getting all emotional, I have business to take care of! I'm suppose to list 7 interesting things about myself and then list 7 more blogs.

Seven Interesting Things about Myself:

1. I'm trying to grow my hair out and it's taking FOREVER!

2. My favorite movie is a tie between "Good Will Hunting" and "Silence of the Lambs."

3. I love all kinds of music; hip hop, country, alternative, 80s, rock, ect.

4. DH and I were engaged within 3 months of dating, married within 7 months.

5. I have seven siblings, all step and half.

6. Even though I hate the bitter cold, I really do love our four seasons.

7. My DH and I have the same birthday, but he's two years older than me.

Now, as far as naming 7 other blogs....well, I'm gonna cheat. There's just so many enjoyable blogs out there, and so many of you that are so deserving, I simply can't narrow it down! So, if you're a follower, a regular reader, or a regular commenter, this award goes to YOU too!

Now, it's YOUR turn! What is one interesting/obscure fact about yourself ??? Please do tell in the comments!

(Don't forget, "Mama Guilt Mondays" meme every Monday! Stop back here and link up!)

Mornin' CopMama! Ugh, I grew my hair out after having short hair for 10 years . . .and it did take forever, but unlike previous attempts, I had a hairstylist that managed to cut it cute at every stage . . .and then it got to my shoulders (my goal) and I hated it . . . so now it's an inverted bob but I hope to go short again once I lose some weight. Grass is always greener :)
Congrats on the award!!

Congratulations! You DO write from your heart but you ARE a beauty as well.

As of late, my secret garden of secrets is getting thinner. That's what happens to you when you blog. But I don't tell too many people that... I don't like ice cream that much. I get groans and "that's not American". I do eat it, it's just if all ice cream disappeared I wouldn't cry. (Now I have to dodge all the shoes coming my way.)

That is neat that you and your husband share a birthday!
Okay, trying to think...oh, I USED to play pool really well. I was playing in a national women's tournament in Vegas when I decided to call (my now) husband and ask him out. It was 3 am Vegas time, so it was 5 am Austin time. He was completely out of it. We had been "celebrating" a victory (of my friend) and I drunk called him. So romantic!!

Yay! you posted your award :)

Mike and I got married after 3 months of dating...so you know, were all about the fast thing. But you can't knock it cause it's almost been 17 years!

What a tricky way to get your husband to remember your birthday! I should of thought of that...:)

Congratulations on an award well deserved.

I enjoy all genres of music too, and I thought both movies were great.

Congratz on the award.

Well The Mr. and I share the same birthday week, but different months.
And for interesting fact, he is 7 yrs older than I.
I love our three seasons, only b/c I'm not a huge fan of snow :-)

I have three sisters and three brothers, but none of them are full brothers and sisters. My parents were both married before, divorced those spouses, met each other, married, and had me.

I just found you!

I am from Naperville, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago.

My daughter is 11 and one of our favorite shows on television is "Female Forces." It is a reality show about women police officers.

Have you seen it? If not, you must!

I love seeing the REAL women behind the badge.
