My Future in the WNBA and SWAT

Thanks to everyone who linked up, commented, or stopped by to read "Mama Guilt Mondays" yesterday. I'm going to make it a regular meme with the MckLinky, so stop by next Monday and join in!

Now, can YOU handle the truth???

I've joined in on the Truthful Tuesday fun at Elizabeth's blog, "Confessions From a Working Mom."

Her question this week is: What talent do you wish you had...but don't?

1. I would love to be able to play basketball. At 5'0, I can't really dunk. I can dribble and move, but dunking just ain't my thing. So there's no WNBA in my future.

2. Total cop answer here: I would love to be on SWAT. Those guys are TOUGH! And yes, it's a dangerous job, and I'm totally not making light of what they do. But I'd love to be in on the entry team bustin' down the doors and yelling, "Get down, get down." I wish I could have the high tech raid gear, be part of the team atmosphere and the camaraderie. Talk about adrenaline rush! (Yes, us cops are adrenaline junkies.)

However, here again, my height is quite the detriment. And the fact that those guys have more muscle in one bicep than I have in my entire body. I guess they could always throw me up through a window but, well maybe I shouldn't even suggest that. You never know what crazy thing they're going to ask me to do next. Once I had to pose as a school girl and....never mind!

So what talent do YOU wish you had...but don't? Blog about it and head over to Elizabeth's blog to link up, or just leave a comment here!

Seriously LMBO!!! I would also be the one posing as a school girl and .... I was constantly asked while pregs with my 3rd if she was my first. I'd say no that I had one each (then) 10 and 7. Most people would say that I looked about 19! Woo-hoo!! Anyway, I would so love to do the SWAT thing too. Those guys are major business there. I love to watch the Dallas SWAT and hope that I run into one of them someday and they would totally recognize me from the outside of the t.v. Okay, maybe not.

My bladder did not handle the "throwing you through the window" comment.
That's GREAT!
I am with you though. I totally want to kick someone's door it with some really high tech flashlight on my rail of the rifle. Oh...and a scope (because yeah...SWAT teams really need the long distance scope) but it looks so cool running into a house.
Sigh...if only it was legal for me to do it.

I love it!! I always thought that would be sooo cool too. I love me cop/detective shows, that's all I watch. I live through them because really I know if I was there I would just cry. :)

DH would DEFINITELY agree with you on the SWAT thing... He's always talking about SWAT, DEA, Secret Service. He loves the adventurous aspects of his career in law enforcement!

I always wished that I could sing. Well, um.....yeah, I can sing, but you sure don't want to hear it. HAHAHAHAHAHA.

Let me clarify that. I wish that I could sing well.

Ok, being on a swat team would scared the badoobers out of me!

Ahhh! The SWAT would be scary! I'm glad you're petite. Let those big guys do the scary stuff!

I wish I was an early bird... I could get so much more done if I just got up earlier!

School girl . . .wow. My guess is you could keep us all entertained with stories for along time to come!

I personally have always wanted to be really great at Martial Arts of some kind--any kind--to know I could kick butt and be super agile and coordinated and . . .it'd be awesome! Not at all SWAT .. . but some adrenaline :)

Well you told me I couldn't be in the witness protection program unless I witnessed a federal crime and I don't want to do that so... is being a Green Beret person a talent?

YOU know how I am!!

Oh my - you have one exciting job there. I wish I had the talent to succeed at every thing that I do!

p.s. So, you were the lady in stall no. 1. Oops, sorry 'bout that! :0)

My SWAT hubby says "yeah! Great idea about the window" LOOK out Officer C. cause you're the same height and on his SWAT team :o) He's got plans for you.

Oh, I want to be one of those kick butt chicks! The perfect reference would be Jennifer Garner on Alias. I want to have cat-like reflexes, and be able to fight anyone, no matter their size. That takes very hard work and dedication. Right now I can run down a toddler before she takes off her poopy diaper by herself and also block a fast moving ball thrown by a 3 yr old before it smacks a sister in the middle of her face. I guess that will have to do for now. :-)

Oooh that's a good one.
With the baby sitting right on my bladder I'm surprised I didn't have an accident while reading the "throwing you through the window" comment. LOL I could use a few extra inches myself.
I guess I'd have to say, I wish I could sew. At the very least even a button or two. I'm always making trips to the seamstress. It's so NOT my gifting. That might seem boring but I think it would come in real handy.
I once tried to make a sock puppet. In the end the darn thing ended up looking like it was on LSD or something. Eyes were all crooked & button nose half hanging off. I canned the sock and came to the conclusion sewing is just not for me.
