"Mama Guilt Mondays" Meme

I had good intentions, honest!

This is a picture from the pumpkin patch this fall. See Sprout's hair sticking up?

This is from Christmas. It's pretty obvious here.

Sprout has a stubborn colic and normally, we just have it buzzed short. However, this past fall, I wanted to try and let it grow a little longer. Problem is, when I went to catch up on scrapbooking recently, I realized his hair was sticking up in EVERY picture!!! Ugh, talk about Mama Guilt!

So, this weekend, we paid a visit to the hair stylist.

There, much better!

Now it's YOUR turn! Do you have any Mama Guilt on your mind today? All you have to do is blog about whatever it is, funny or serious, post a link back to me, then come back here and enter your post link into the MckLinky.

Or feel free to write about your Mama Guilt in the comments.

Either way, I think it's good to share our "Mama Guilt" so we know we are not alone, we all struggle in this wonderful, chaotic, ever challenging thing they call motherhood!

Your son is absolutely gorgeous. What a great idea for a meme. I'm following you now from Follow Friday.

I think the cowlicks are quite cute. He is also very handsome with his new "do".
Don't feel guilty about hair. We moms beat ourselves up over so many things. Don't let a cowlick get the best of you. :-)

I am totally letting my kids veg and watch TV right now so I can catch up on blogs!!!

For the record, my kids hair does that too, and I gladly chop it off! Shave it to be exact! I love short hair on boys. :)

My heart skipped a beat when I saw your son's haircut. What I would DO to have my son's hair look like that. But it doesn't. He has what I think kids call "skater hair" but I don't know for sure because I'm not very cool. All I know is it's long and I fantasize about buzzing it all off while he sleeps.

Thanks for sharing it was a good laugh that I needed this morning. I laugh b/c I have one of those hair issues myself. Big Cowlick in the back. Thank goodness for my stylist that helps me out with that.
BTW your son is super cute!
Happy Monday :-)
Have a great week!

oh i love his sticking up hair. When my son was a baby (he was so beautiful) and I kept his hair too long and others thought he was a girl. He's such a big macho man now that I think it's funny to look back at the pictures.

Haha love the pictures of his hair that sticks up! My son has the same problem... his hair is REALLY stubborn! I feel bad that I have to always cut it so short, but there's really no other way right now.

My guilt with haircuts is the opposite:) My mom loves our kids hair to be long and we get the silent treatment from her for at least a day whenever we cut their hair! It is now a running joke in our family! When my husband took our oldest to get his hair "trimmed" and came back with a buzz cut, I thought my mom would never forgive him!

Your sons hair is adorable either way, btw!

Thanks for hosting this carnival! So nice to know that I am not the only one walking around with guilt about so many things:)

I guess time would be my thing. I've been a SAHM for a while now, so I do get to see them quite often, but I surely could've spent more quality time with them. I happen to agree with Kim who commented about beating ourselves up over so many things..sometimes that makes things so much worse than they really are. Love his haircut! We normally do the high and tight on our little boy..it's the military thing from daddy!

I guess my guilt is I do not do enough for my little one. My husband says I do but I feel I do not.

Your son is too cute! I think those photos will be the best ones to show his friends and future wife one day! As a mom we are obligated to take enough pictures of the "real them" to balance out the perfect shots! Thanks again for the carnival!

Love the cowlick! My son has let his hair get out of control Fro before but it's usually been his decision.
My latest Mama guilt is that he needs to get to the Dentist and I haven't made the appointment yet because I know how expensive it'll be . . .how horrible is that?!?

I like the hair sticking up--gives him personality! I feel guilty when I let Chase's hair start to reach his eyes. Sometimes I wish I could just stick a barrette in it to pull it out of his field of vision, but I somehow think that might lead to even more guilt.

Awww, I kinda think it looks cute sticking up. :) But the last picture is adorable, he looks like such a little man!

Just a thought...buy some clippers and do it yourself. I cut my son's and my husbands hair. I am no hairstylist! But it really isn't hard to do a buzz cut. Now if my son wants a flat top or a faux hawk I have to take him somewhere. But it sure saves money in between.

Awww I think his hair is adorable!! But very handsome with it cut short. My son has shaggy hair and literally I could put it in my daughters clips right now. He needs a cut be he is awful when we go, so we do not go as often as we should.

Ethan has that same cowlick. I think they're cute--he can have fun dealing with it someday.

My guilt? Over being at a conference with the husband today-Wednesday, and not missing the kids. Feeling guilty about being excited to be away from them. They're my kids, I should like them, right? Mama needs a break though! :-)

I do have some Mama guilt today, I have insomnia (most nights) and loast night was one, well this morning, I was gritting my teeth NOT to yell and be grumpy, but one of my daughters refused to keep her inside voice 'inside' and I finally yelled "Enough already!", well she looked me right in the eye and said "You're ALWAYS mad everydays now"
Ugh, my heart broke, and now I have Mama Guilt. Needless to say, I've stopped yelling & will try & get some sleep at nap time :)

I'm here from Friday Follow, (late, sorry) long story, but here I am!
Also - your 'sprouts' hair doesn't look so bad sticking up! I love the shot of him playing with his truck - its so long and just adorable!!

We have the cowlick going on at our house too...so he gets a fauxhawk. That could be a mama guilt :o)

Aw, I think Sprout is a looker no matter hair colic or not. I had mommy guilt when I accidentally dropped a can on my son's toe when he was 2. Believe me, he still brings it up! Ugh!

I never worried about my kid's hair when they were growing up. That was mom's department.

How absolutely CUTE!
I believe hair has a mind of it's own(at least mine does anyway).

either way your son looks so cute.my boy has a cowlick right in the front that no matter what his hair parts right there!love your Mama guilt mondays!

My toddler has 2 swirls on the back of his head with a cowlick right in between them that no matter how I cut it, it sticks up and can't be combed either way. I cut his hair on my own and have had many times where I am cutting it again the next day to catch what I missed the first time through.

I feel guilty because we went somewhere quite cold today and my son (7 year old) did not take his heavy jacket. He's the responsible one. I made sure my six year old had hers but not him because I just expected him to know to take it. Poor boy! But we bundled him up the best we could and he didn't complain so I guess he was fine. I still felt bad though.

I knew there was a reason to not have children - no mama guilt!!

I had similar hair as a child and have memories of my grandmother licking her hand to stick it down... urghhhh ;0)

My son has the same cowlick!! Lots of hairspray.. that is what we have to do every day now.

His cowlick even sticks up even when his hair is short, unless we cut it really really short.
