Look, I'm Pretty! (My Blog, I Mean)

Oh my goodness, that title sounds vain, doesn't it?

I'm not trying to be.

I was thinking more of that song, "I'm pretty, oh so pretty!"

Oh wait, that still sounds vain.

See, you have to realize I'm in a male dominated profession and I have a house full of males, so I love any chance I get to be girly, frilly, or downright flowery!

Oh, I digress, it's the 5 AM before coffee and before going to work stream of consciousness...sorry.

It's just that I'm so excited to have a new blog design!

Thanks to Designer Blogs, I have this fun new look.

This was my only request: "In the title, maybe use a block font (deep blue, since blue is usually associated with police) for "Cop" and then a cursive type font (Deep Pink?) for Mama, indicating a strong feel to the Cop and a more feminine feel to Mama, which would be symbolic of my two worlds :-)"

So, I was wondering, What do YOU like best about your blog design? Any funny stories? If you don't have a blog, feel free to give a shout out to your favorite blog in the comments section!

Yay! I LOVE you new blog design!!!

What I love about mine is that it has been mine from day 1. Lot's of people change their designs frequently and like to shake things up a bit, which is FINE and Fun! Don't get me wrong! But I like the fact that when people come to my blog they reconize it, and associates it's with me and makes it feel like they are coming to me!
(hence maybe the freakout when someone casually mentions..."has your blog ALWAYS been green??"

LOL!!!!!!

I love the new blog. It's very nice.

The thing I love about my blog is that I have one! I wanted to start a blog for a long, long time but it took me a while to jump in. Now I'm snapping pictures of our food and the kids say, "Mom's going to put this on her blog!" It's funny to me.

It looks great. I justed started blogging several months ago, and as a home daycare provider, it is my one personal creative outlet during my day!!! I plan on customizing my blog shortly, but feel free to check iy out. Everything on there now I have created myself!!

I think it turned out well, and it was interesting to hear why you picked what you picked. Thanks for sharing. I'm boring, just change the background with the seasons. My header has changed maybe 3 times ever. The first time it was generic from blogger. Then I took a picture that said "4 Drays" in our blocks. Now "5 Drays". Probably won't ever change it again :o)

thanks for sharing your process. i was curious why it was so different than the other template and why you had picked the colors. i am moving away from the standard template but am trying to do it myself. needless to say, paying for a designer is starting to look really tempting.

Your blog design looks great! I usually play with mine on my own but it is so incredibly time consuming! It would be fun to have someone design my blog for me but for now, I do my best by myself! :) Your header is adorable too. :)

@ Everyone

I guess I should have included the fact that I attempted to use a free template but for some reason, I just can't figure out HTML!

You are pretty, oh so pretty. I know what you mean about taking chance to be girly. I also am around males more than females.

I love the colors of your new blog design and the white space. Easy to read and follow along. Speaking of follow, I am now your newest blog follower. Thanks for linking up at my Follow Me Linky post.

Your design is real nice.

Being very technically challenged, I did my own with a little help on the header from a blogging friend. Since I'm not all that up on fancy-ing up my blog, I just leave it as it is.

Beautiful! the new blog design is GREAT... and I thin it's a perfect blend of "Cop" and "Mama"! Well done.

I'm a DIY blogger... I know just enough to be dangerous, and not enough to get it right! You should see the long list of things that I want to learn how "to do" to my blog... We'll get there eventually!
